007...rawr!

Gotta tell ya...I have never been a James Bond fan until Daniel Craig took over the roll.  I don't know...there is just something about him.  Maybe it is the piercing blue eyes, like my husbands. Maybe it is the way he wears a suit...(my husband looks extremely nice when doing so, also...)
He played a great roll in Flashbacks of a Fool...Check it out if you haven't.  Enjoy the photos...

Dance of Heaven

Dance of Heaven

Under the stars
captivated by you
I hold you in my arms
this is my Dream come true
wonderful and beautiful
my precious child
It's been so long since my
heart has felt this light
I whisper the words
I Love You
while We dance as one
wishing that I'd never have
to see the rising sun
Dancing for eternity
lost in our embrace
under the stars

D'Evelyn's Ballet Folklórico

Anna and her school performed today at the Denver Art Museum.

Believe it or not, this is Anna's French Teacher...Apparently she speaks many languages...

A day at the park...

Kaleb and Christine...
She is the founder of the Kyle David Miller Foundation.
Check out their site.

I honestly can't remember the last time I was at a park...not a baseball park, but a park where children are playing...little kids are running around giggling and screaming.  If I had to guess, and I will guess high...this has been the third time since Maddux died.  Natalie and her friend Katie wanted to have a sleep over.  I had to drop Chase off for a baseball game and suggested to Katie's mom, to lets meet at this park.  I remember taking Natalie to this park when I was pregnant with Maddux.  Katie has alittle brother named Kobe, who is three.  Natalie has taken such a liking to this little boy...She absolutely LOVES him...as you can see by the pictures.  She would have been such a good big sister...

The movie Seven Pounds...

This by far was one of the best movies I have ever seen.  I watched it with Chase, and we cried, and cried.  Near the end of the movie Chase asked me if he would go to Heaven, with everything that he had done and was doing...and honestly, I could not answer his question.  Watch the trailer. It is now available on DVD...I am wondering why I never saw it in the theaters?

Sculpture's journey

Luis Jimenez, an award-winning artist, was commissioned to create a 32-foot horse sculpture, called Mustang, for display at Denver International Airport. The artist lost his life and the city's cost more than doubled on the road to the sculpture's installation.

1992: City of Denver commissions the sculpture for $300,000 with a 1996 delivery date.

2001: The city changed the planned location of Mustang to inside the terminal, from a site on Pena Boulevard.

2003: After several delays, the city sued Jimenez to get its $165,000 advance payment back. Jimenez, countersued because DIA wanted to place his sculpture inside.

2004: An agreement was reached calling for Jimenez to meet certain deadlines leading to installation of the piece and Mustang would be installed outside. Jimenez would receive the remaining $135,000 on his contract.

2005: Jimenez continued to miss deadlines.

2006: Jimenez was killed when part of the sculpture fell on him in his New Mexico studio.

2007: The city took possession of the sculpture in mid-October. The piece took a detour to California for repairs and safety upgrades. A budget of $350,000 was approved to rehab the sculpture, ship it, install it and dedicate it.

Pet Peeves of the day...

This one set me off... PETA is pecking away at NASCAR fans doing the chicken dance. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wants the Guinness records people to ignore an attempt to set a new record for the chicken dance. Around 125,000 fans were at the Talladega Superspeedway Sunday and many were shaking their tail feathers. KFC was the sponsor of the record attempt and PETA charges the Colonel is cruel to chickens. A KFC spokesman denies the allegations.

Seriously...Can't PETA find something better and more useful to do with their time and donation money?

Naming the Child

I wrote this as a “gift book”—not in the conventional sense, it’s not exactly a coffee table book. But it was my hope that those who who knew somebody who is suffering in isolation would buy the book for them and take it to them. This simple act can open the door of conversation. It is a really good way to say, “I’m here, I’ll talk whenever you’re ready. I’m not afraid of the subject.”— Jenny

I received my copy from Jenny yesterday.  I can't tell you how beautifully written it is, or how the stories told are done so with beauty, dignity and grace...  I am completely honored and humbled that Maddux's story is included.  This is a must buy for everyone.  One day, you will eventually know somebody that has experienced the death of an infant.  Read this, and it can help you, help them.  Wish this book was around 4 years ago...

Thoughts and prayers please...

Click HERE to read about what happened at Columbine High School.

Today is the anniversary of the Columbine Shootings. My thoughts and prayers are with ALL the families that were involved. This event hits close to home, especially now that I have two children who attend highschool within 2 miles of Columbine. We have visited the memorial and it is simply beautiful. Somebody wasn't happy that school was in session today...

Snow fun with Natalie, Baxter and Jeter...

Drought? What Drought?

If you haven't been watching the news, you would not know that we had a huge storm blast through Colorado last night and all day today.  Surprisingly, all of the kids had school.  Nat's did get early release, but poor Chase and Anna had to drill out the whole day...poor things.

Baxter just loves the snow...
Our trees were getting scary looking.  Looked like the were snow monsters ready to come alive and eat us...
Poor, poor Jeter Dog...look at his little balls...
Here is Anna, of course having some fun...Looks like she was trying to tumble (which she was not) and got stuck...LOL!!!
Our back deck around 7pm
The Girls, and Baxter...Having some fun.
On my way picking up Chase and Anna from the bus stop in Evergreen.  Only took them an hour to get from school to home.  I thanked the bus driver profusely for getting my kids home safely.

Razzle Dazzle Cosmetics

I am officially a representative for Razzle Dazzle Cosmetics.  This all has to do with Cheerleading, of course.  If you know me, I love to do the girls makeup.  I love to come up with new ideas.  I just love to play.  So, if you or anybody you know needs help with your Teams 'look,' feel free to give me a call or shoot me an email.  I'd love to help.

Who know?  This might even help pay for some of my girls tuition.  How nice would that be?
