We were living in San Jose California. I had a full day of work at McDonnell Douglas. Came home, fixed spaghetti for dinner. Mike and I watched some TV. Took the weiner dogs for a walk. Then at 2:30am, my water broke. My first child was ready to be born into this world. Our world. Chase Emerson Haggard was born into my arms at 10:32 am. 8lbs 15ozs. 21 inches long.

How I have enjoyed this child in my life. How I have enjoyed watching him grow up. How I enjoy watching him become the man he is becoming. How I enjoy being his mom.

In two days he goes for his second driving class...How I do not enjoy this part...

Just stopping by and catching up on your posts. How wonderful to be able to remember 15 years with Chase. What an amazing gift is each life. For those of us who have lost a child... even the excitment of a young man learning to drive can be hard on us as parents. We know that the unthinkable can and does happen. May your son have many safe and uneventful days of driving. ahead. :)

I truly know how blessed I am having these years with my son Chase. But not a minute has gone by today without me thinking that I will never have these moments with Maddux. Thank you for your well wishes, for a safe driving experience for Chase...I am sorry for the loss of your son Joshua. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Missing our boys...
And with hope,
Cheryl
